About This Role

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper color and finish of parts used in the assembly of airline seats for Safran Seats, a leading global manufacturer of aircraft seats. The position involves applying various coatings, working from blueprints, and using fillers and sanding techniques to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to painting with the help of A and Senior operators
• Apply primer coatings, paint coatings, protective coatings, and decorative coatings to assemblies
• Work from blueprints and perform trimming and finishing tasks
• Operate spray rigs
• Use fillers and basic sanding techniques
• Perform other duties as required
• Follow all safety regulations
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Perform safety related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One to three years of related experience
• Thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One to three years of related experience required equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
