Store Sales

About This Role

The Store Sales position at Trav's Outfitter actively assists customers, providing a world-class shopping experience and representing the company in a professional manner. This role focuses on engaging with customers, assisting with purchasing decisions, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile
• Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions
• Answer customer questions and requests via phone
• Demonstrate a passion for products in the store
• Work with product placement and merchandising
• Attend all Trav's product training and store meetings
• Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor
• Help with freight/stocking when needed

Requirements

• Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 5 pounds constantly
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1-3 months of sales experience is a plus, but training is provided for the right attitude and personality.

Nice to Have

• 1-3 months of sales experience
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement
