Store Director

About This Role

Lead a Supercenter operation across multiple Michigan markets, owning customer service, merchandising, financial performance, and talent development. Drive results and develop the next generation of retail leaders while serving as a visible leader and community partner.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members at all levels to deliver an outstanding shopping experience
• Own the total operation of the store, from customer service and merchandising standards to financial performance and talent development
• Serve as a visible leader and community partner representing the Meijer brand
• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded
• Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and professionally develop existing team members
• Maintain all corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures to provide a safe and stable work environment
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports
• Ability to receive and maintain licenses required for the store's operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent retail experience
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience; 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports; Minimum 3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred; Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue (through single or multi-unit responsibility)
