Store Associate

About This Role

A Store Associate is responsible for driving sales and providing excellent customer service in a retail environment of spirits, beer, wine, and party goods. This role involves building relationships with customers, managing inventory, operating POS systems, and potentially assisting with deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers
• Inform customers of BRS products and services
• Provide product recommendations based on BRS product knowledge
• Drive sales in all departments
• Replenish and maintain inventory
• Perform cashier functions and adhere to minor policy during customer transactions
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies and accept various payment types
• Process refunds and exchanges, balance register drawer
• Bag or box purchases to ensure safe transport
• Follow all BRS procedures regarding coupons and gift cards
• Maintain store safety standards and cleanliness
• Assist in promotions and setup of BRS events
• Observe BRS vehicle policies, maintain safety standards for deliveries, and deliver items to customers (if eligible)
• Follow delivery driving routes and time schedules (if eligible)
• Inform manager of vehicle operating condition problems (if eligible)

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• Proof of Insurance (if driving for deliveries)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Desire to continually develop retail sales skills and product knowledge
• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate a positive and engaging attitude and demeanor
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to frequently stand and move in an assigned location
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to handle objects, products, and equipment safely
• Ability to bend, kneel

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One year as a store associate or customer service representative
