Storage Sales Specialist

About This Role

Storage Sales Specialists drive sales of storage products and solutions in an assigned territory. They lead pursuit campaigns, build pipelines, and manage client relationships, including C-level engagements for complex solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit in assigned territory for storage products, services, software, and solutions
• Collaborate with Account Generalists and provide storage expertise within the sales team
• Drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline
• Use specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities
• Develop pursuit plans and manage the storage sales pipeline
• Contribute to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings
• Work closely with and support the Account Manager, providing technical expertise and support
• Participate in client engagements up to C-level for complex solutions in smaller accounts
• Direct and coordinate supporting sales activities related to pipeline hygiene
• Collaborate across HPE teams to deliver consistent business development for end-to-end solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of sales experience
• Expert in working with indirect channel model
• Deep competitive knowledge of at least 1 major storage vendor
• Expert in selling complete data lifecycle management portfolio (block, file, backup, ransomware protection & others)

Qualifications

• University or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of sales experience, with storage related sales experience strongly desired
