About This Role

This Sales Specialist role focuses on driving the sales pipeline for cybersecurity solutions within Hewlett Packard Enterprise. You will collaborate with Account Managers, provide specialist expertise, and leverage advanced subject matter knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities, particularly with mid-to-large accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive sales pipeline, capturing and ensuring follow-up on leads
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors to strategically position company products and services
  • Use specialty expertise to seek new opportunities and expand existing ones
  • Provide support and business development/solution expertise to Account Managers
  • Develop quota objectives and future direction for defined product category
  • Establish professional, consultative relationships with clients, including C-level executives
  • Work with and leverage external partners to deliver sales
  • Focus on growing contractual renewals for mid-to-large accounts (for Services Consultants)
  • Direct or coordinate supporting sales activities

Requirements

  • University or Bachelor’s degree or directly related previous work experience
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer, and higher level customer interface
  • Extensive selling experience within industry and on similar products
  • 8-12 years of advanced sales experience
  • Project management skills
  • 2-3 years of product sales in the desired specialty
  • Expert knowledge of products, solution or service offerings and competitor offerings
  • Understanding of the industry and market segment for key accounts
  • Ability to understand and apply program/project management methods
  • Account planning and accurate account revenue forecasting skills

Qualifications

  • University or Bachelor’s degree or directly related previous work experience
  • 8-12 years of advanced sales experience, with 2-3 years of product sales in the desired specialty
