About This Role

Join The Ohio State University's Perioperative Nurse Residency Program to develop clinical skills and provide patient care as a Registered Nurse, transitioning from nursing student to a professional clinician. This full-time program offers hands-on clinical experience, classroom learning, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provide care to patients and their families
  • Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team
  • Assess, prescribe, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the nursing care of patients
  • Prioritize patient care needs and provide leadership to, and development of, the patient care team
  • Participate in service rotations within University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, and Same Day Surgery

Requirements

  • Graduate from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program
  • Current licensure or interim permit in the practice of registered nursing from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • New graduate, entry level position

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a relevant care setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
