Staff Nurse II, Postpartum

About This Role

This Staff Nurse II position is accountable for assessing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care to patients in an acute postpartum setting. The role involves direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care to promote an optimal patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care
• Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care in an acute patient setting
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area
• Develop, implement, and coordinate a plan of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN-Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider
• Minimum of 6 months within specialty within the past two years

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 6 months within specialty within the past two years - REQUIRED
