This Clinical Nurse Resident position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Telemetry 3 unit at Memorial Medical Center. The role focuses on assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care while ensuring adherence to hospital policies and fostering collaborative relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine assignments and develop competence in nursing practices
- Assess, coordinate delivery, and evaluate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
- Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area
- Develop, implement, manage/coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care incorporating various patient factors
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations to promote quality patient experience
- Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing prior to start date
- RN-Registered Nurse license prior to start date
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- NIHSS-National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale certification
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
- Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
- Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team
- Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
