Clinical Nurse Resident, Cardiac Telemetry 3

About This Role

This Clinical Nurse Resident position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Telemetry 3 unit at Memorial Medical Center. The role focuses on assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care while ensuring adherence to hospital policies and fostering collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine assignments and develop competence in nursing practices
• Assess, coordinate delivery, and evaluate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
• Deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area
• Develop, implement, manage/coordinate an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care incorporating various patient factors
• Foster and maintain collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations to promote quality patient experience
• Engage in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing prior to start date
• RN-Registered Nurse license prior to start date
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• NIHSS-National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology
• Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations
• Written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally
• Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods
• Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team
• Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems
• Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI)
• Ability to build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
