Staff Nurse Dual Unit: 7W Adult BMT/8E Adult Surgical Telemetry

About This Role

Provide direct patient care as a Staff Nurse on both the 7W (Adult Bone Marrow Transplant) and 8E (Adult Surgical Telemetry) units, utilizing specialized skills in oncology, surgical care, and telemetry to deliver world-class care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult hematology/oncology patients, including those undergoing bone marrow and blood stem cell transplant (BMT), and gynecologic oncology patients on unit 7W
• Care for adult surgical patients, including endocrine and benign gynecologic surgery, and medicine hematology patients on unit 8E
• Administer chemotherapy and interpret EKGs after receiving relevant training and competency check-off
• Utilize telemetry capability to provide a high level of care for the patient population
• Float between units 7W and 8E as needed based on staffing requirements
• Work a minimum of two weekend shifts per scheduling period if working three or more shifts
• Work a portion of scheduled shifts on off shifts (recommended guide: 25%)
• Work shifts during three out of six holiday weeks, including Christmas or New Year's week

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN License
• Complete and accurate resume

Nice to Have

• Oncology RN experience
• Telemetry RN experience
