The SST Lead will be responsible for the overall management, training, and coordination of Simulations personnel, acting as the MTC's Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of Army Simulations. This role involves managing daily and exercise simulation operations, including system maintenance, troubleshooting, and training staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day and exercise/event simulation operations for the MTC, including NEF/NET of simulation systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation during events
- Work closely with Ops, Cyber, and Network Managers to design and execute simulation support and integration for training environments
- Plan architectures that employ distributed and stand-alone simulations to stimulate Army C2 Systems in LVC, blended, and integrated Training Environments
- Design and implement Simulation Control Plans for simulation-supported collective training events and exercises
- Provide overall management, training, and coordination of Simulations personnel
- Act as the MTC's Subject Matter Expert on all aspects of Army Simulations
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors Degree
- IAT II Certification
- 8 years of experience with Military training and training support
- Experience in technical support and training requirements at Brigade or higher level
- 3 years' experience leading technical teams responsible for engineering, installing, operating, protecting, and maintaining military simulations
- 2 years' experience in designing and implementing Simulation Control Plans for military training and exercises
- 2 years' experience designing and supporting distributed, simulation-supported exercises
- Excellent communications skills and ability to brief senior leaders in layman's terms
- Experience with modelling and simulations systems and concepts
- Ability to produce technical documents such as network line and block charts, systems data flow diagrams, and Simulation-Stimulation architecture
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 8 years of experience with Military training and training support; experience in technical support and training requirements at Brigade or higher level. 3 years' experience leading technical teams responsible for military simulations. 2 years' experience in designing and implementing Simulation Control Plans. 2 years' experience designing and supporting distributed, simulation-supported exercises.
