Sr. Video Producer, Energy Technical Content

About This Role

This role involves enhancing video editing capabilities for Tesla's Energy Technical Content team, focusing on post-production of technical and product-focused video content. The senior-level specialist will manage editing workflows, from footage ingestion to delivering polished, engaging technical videos.

Responsibilities

• Ingest raw video footage, transcode, rename, organize, and prepare clips for efficient editing workflows
• Create precise and efficient edits conforming to voice-overs or develop short-form videos with editorial judgment
• Incorporate music, overlays, callouts, and text for clear, accurate, and visually engaging content
• Leverage 3D renders, animations, and motion graphics to populate timelines with informative visuals
• Apply expert color science knowledge for color correction and grading, including custom LUTs and team-wide standards
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts for clarification or manage projects independently
• Incorporate the latest AI tools for video production, devising workflow optimizations and standardizing strategies
• Manage tasks and information flow using project management tools like JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional video production experience, with a strong emphasis on post-production
• Demonstrated expertise in editing technical or product-focused content
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, including advanced editing techniques, timeline management, and leveraging MOGRTs
• Demonstrated expertise in color science, color correction, and grading
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for image editing and asset preparation
• Familiarity with emerging AI tools for video workflows
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional video production experience, with a strong emphasis on post-production

Nice to Have

• Experience creating custom MOGRTs and other motion graphics
• Experience shooting video in professional environments using industry-standard equipment
• Skills in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator
• Proactive mindset for adapting and optimizing AI processes
• Experience with 3D animation or motion graphics
• Prior scripting or planning experience
