The Senior Technician will perform truck repair and maintenance, run diagnostics, and ensure all fleet vehicles comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational commitment to safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
- Repair, modify and perform preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions
- Inspect fleet vehicles to ensure that all vehicles are DOT compliant to include brake maintenance
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance
- Ability to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals)
- Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance
Nice to Have
- Welding and body fabrication experience
