Sr Surgical Tech/Surgical Tech - Operating Room

About This Role

This role involves assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room, including preparing and stocking the OR, gathering supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to support surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room
• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery
• Gather clean and sterile supplies
• Set sterile instrument fields
• Maintain and monitor aseptic techniques
• Assist with the orientation of new staff
• Participate on departmental committees

Requirements

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology
• BLS Required
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility

Nice to Have

• Scrub Technician Certification
