Manage construction projects for remodel and retrofit rollouts across a portfolio of 100+ restaurant locations, ensuring projects adhere to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. This role involves direct management of multiple projects, collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, and driving continual improvement for existing restaurant facilities.
Responsibilities
- Execute design and construction projects from site reviews to completion
- Directly manage multiple remodel and/or retrofit projects simultaneously
- Adhere to budget, timeline, and quality control plans for all construction phases
- Communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders through reports and meetings
- Collaborate with and direct architects, engineers, general contractors, vendors, and other specialists
- Manage project design and implementation with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines
- Drive internal cross-collaboration with subject matter experts for fast decision-making
- Write and submit inspection logs and punch lists, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
- Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, and track project financials
- Plan construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to meet deadlines
- Supervise onsite work of vendors and internal staff, providing guidance as needed
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and report issues
- Manage transition to operations phase, including service contract setups and operations training
Requirements
- Construction project management, multi-site, program management, retail, or restaurant build management experience
- Experience managing a team of external vendors, suppliers, internal team members and stakeholders
- Ability to provide live on-site field direction and/or supervision
- Experience negotiating agreements with third parties including suppliers and sub-contractors
- Ability to review submittals, invoices, and proposals from third parties
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Experience creating reports and summarizing critical action items for internal teams
- Experience hitting time-sensitive deadlines and budgets
Qualifications
- Experience in construction project management, multi-site program management, or retail/restaurant build management.
