Sr Patient Care Technician

About This Role

This Senior Patient Care Technician role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, and collaborating with the care team to ensure exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs
• Transport patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Greet and orient patients to the patient care area
• Perform meal service and feeding assistance functions
• Provide additional select care to patients
• Collaborate with other team members to perform other services as directed

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes
• Strong written, verbal and nonverbal interpersonal and professional communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting
• Positive attitude toward problem-solving
• Accountability for own actions
• Willing and courteous service delivery
• Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task
• Self-directed and motivated
• High degree of responsibility and responsiveness
• Ability to deal effectively with patients, visitors, situations, and other Care Team members, while maintaining emotional control
• Ability to lift
• Availability for one week of full-time training
• Three (3) months of Clinical Experience OR currently enrolled in Nursing school

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Three (3) months of Clinical Experience OR currently enrolled in Nursing school
