Sr. Design Engineer - Mechanical

About This Role

Lead the design and development of new and improved products for Bradford White, focusing on new product platform design from concept to production. Coordinate and oversee development, validation, and verification testing.

Responsibilities

• Support/lead the design and development of new and/or improved products
• Coordinate/oversee development, validation, and verification testing
• Support the coordination of product launches

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in an applicable role
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Experience developing FMEAs, test plans, DFM and stack-ups
• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermodynamics
• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in combustion, heat exchanger design, multi-pass heat exchangers, pre-mix combustion systems, and atmospheric combustion systems
• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in appliance design and HVAC design
• Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in pressure vessel design and material selection
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly grasp and implement new ideas, concepts, and programs to improve product and department efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 5+ years’ experience in an applicable role

Nice to Have

• Experience in sheet metal, injection molding, machining and cast parts
• Design for Manufacturability (high-volume, low-cost manufacturing)
