About This Role

The Specialty Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining vapor control systems, including thermal oxidizers, vapor combustors, and carbon vapor control systems. This role involves calibrating analyzers, moving and setting up equipment at job sites, and training other technicians and operators.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and calibrate analyzers
  • Move and set up equipment at job sites
  • Monitor emissions from frac tanks and other refinery equipment
  • Review all applicable paperwork ensuring proper completion
  • Track carbon change outs and usage and manage liquid media on site
  • Operate HPC vehicles and equipment
  • Inspect equipment and general work area prior to starting any job
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required
  • Complete all appropriate paperwork
  • Train Technicians and Operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork
  • Operate all necessary equipment in the vapor control service line in accordance with operation training and safety procedures
  • Utilize the Safety 3-6-5 Safety System in all aspects of operations
  • Follow all DOT guidelines for hours of service
  • Maintain logs without error
  • Maintain compliant calibration records

Requirements

  • Must have Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) prior to interviewing and hiring
  • Must have a valid state issued driving license and have clean driving record and reliable transportation for local work (60-mile radius)
  • Ability to show up on time and prepared for work
  • Compliance with MVR policy
  • Compliance with Drug policy
  • Compliance with Background checking policy
  • Compliance with DOT physical requirements
  • Possess all required I-9 documentation

Nice to Have

  • Minimum 1 year of plant work experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating thermal oxidizers and/or liquid scrubbers
  • Basic Safety Council Reciprocal Card
  • Oil & Gas Industry terminology knowledge
