About This Role

This role involves developing and integrating systems and software for space and satellite applications, working across the entire product development lifecycle from requirements to verification as part of a multi-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Systems and/or Software Requirements
  • Perform System Design and/or Software Development
  • Conduct System Integration (System/Software and/or Hardware/Software)
  • Execute System and/or Software verification
  • Debug locally and remotely using appropriate tools
  • Solve problems, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues in space/satellite applications
  • Learn and apply new technologies effectively
  • Contribute to a multi-functional team environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years of embedded systems and/or software experience in Space and/or Satellite Applications
  • Ability to develop Systems and/or Software Requirements
  • Experience in System Design and/or Software Development
  • Experience in System Integration: System/Software and/or Hardware/Software
  • Experience in System and/or Software verification
  • Proficient in modern programming languages (ex. C/C++, Python/Perl, C#/Java)
  • Experience with all phases of a formal product development life cycle
  • Experience with local and remote debugging concepts and tools
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a multi-functional team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of embedded systems and/or software experience in Space and/or Satellite Applications

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in a rapid development environment
  • Experience with build, test, and/or deployment automation
  • Understanding of DO-178B/C, NPR7150.2, or equivalent
  • Project experience includes safety critical systems
  • Experience with Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and/or time-critical applications
  • Experience with Single Event Upset (SEU) mitigation mechanisms
  • Experience with low-level software (ex. BSP, kernel/drivers, firmware)
