Solution Engineer

About This Role

Snowflake is seeking a Solution Engineer to partner with the sales team and channel partners, understanding customer needs, strategizing sales cycles, providing compelling demonstrations, and supporting Proof of Concepts to close business. This role focuses on solving complex customer problems and driving large deals.

Responsibilities

• Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
• Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors to effectively position Snowflake.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing.

Requirements

• Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences.
• Broad experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Understanding of AI/ML principles and best practices.
• Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solutions.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
• Broad experience within large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud technologies.
