Software Licensing Analyst

About This Role

Support Software Asset Management (SAM) processes for a government customer, implementing policies and tracking software licenses across the enterprise. This role ensures purchased software conforms to agreements and assists with managing the software asset inventory.

Responsibilities

• Work with Team Lead to ensure timely prioritization of project commitments
• Provide technical and administrative assistance to assure assets, products and services conform to service level agreements and contract specifications
• Provide support services including user assistance, software installs, purchase assistance, renewals, removals, and entitlement tracking
• Coordinate oversight of software asset inventory and reporting needs
• Assist with the review, process, and tracking of all software licensing and maintenance requests
• Collect and maintain accurate Software Licensing information in repositories for budgeting, compliance, and audits
• Provide analysis of software data to drive key business decisions
• Track and ensure notice periods are met for changes and cancellations
• Respond to requests from Software Owners, end users, managers, and developers for specific IT Software Asset Management information

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Active interim secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel and PDF skills
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalence in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or Engineering; additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
