Defense Engineering Intern

About This Role

Support the Software Development Team at Redstone Arsenal as a Defense Engineering Intern. This role involves contributing to the full software lifecycle development and supporting embedded software for military systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts with limited guidance
• Complete specific assigned tasks
• Prepare detailed designs
• Support development with embedded software for military systems
• Support full software life cycle development (requirements analysis, design, code, integration, test, documentation and support) following CMMI processes

Requirements

• Proficiency in basic computer skills
• Proficiency in virtual meeting tools
• Proficiency in using cloud based tools
• Solid work experience with customers/resolving issues while meeting schedule requirements
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (US Citizenship)

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM or technical degree path
• Two (2) years of college or work related experience
