Software Engineer (W2 Only)

About This Role

Join a fast-paced, cloud-native engineering team as a Software Engineer, focusing on backend development, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices. This role is a contract-to-hire opportunity for proactive and adaptable developers who are ownership-driven.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java/Spring Boot and/or Python
• Build secure REST APIs using OAuth2/JWT
• Deploy, support, and maintain services running on GKE
• Develop and maintain workflows using Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
• Work with GCP services such as Dataflow and GCS
• Integrate APIs using API gateways (e.g., Apigee, API Connect)
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for application data
• Build and maintain observability dashboards using Grafana
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions

Requirements

• Hands-on development experience with Java (Spring Boot) or Python
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, including GKE, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, GCS
• Apache Airflow experience (DAG design and orchestration)
• Backend data experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• CI/CD & DevOps exposure (Git, GitHub Actions or Jenkins)
• Solid understanding of API concepts, including proxies and gateways
• Hands-on, proactive, and execution-focused mindset
• Willingness to learn and take ownership beyond assigned tasks
• Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience for mid-level, 6+ years for senior, 0-3 years for junior. Seeking candidates across multiple experience levels.
