Enlighten is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. This role involves working with modern tools and technologies within a dynamic and collaborative team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems
- Work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field
- Develop Java-based software capabilities
- Possess strong troubleshooting skills and work under pressure with multiple deadlines
Requirements
- Current Secret level U.S. Government security clearance (TS level also considered)
- U.S. Citizenship
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
- Experience with Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava)
- Experience in designing enterprise APIs
- Experience in RESTful web services
- Experience in Microservices architecture
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
- Experience with the agile software lifecycle
- Experience with the Linux operating system
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)
- Strong communication skills
- DoD 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+)
Qualifications
- Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 9 years relevant experience with High School Diploma
Nice to Have
- Experience with NiFi, Kafka, AWS Infrastructure, and K8's
- Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)
- Scripting experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform
- Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise)
