Software Engineer - Solutions Engineering

About This Role

Design and deliver open source software operations code, working across the entire Linux stack, from kernel to applications, to revolutionize open source application and infrastructure operations. This role focuses on enabling true model-driven operations via next-generation infrastructure-as-code to transform software operations.

Responsibilities

• Work in Python and Golang to design and deliver open source software operations code
• Work with the entire Linux stack, from kernel, networking, storage, to applications
• Help rethink open source operations for customers and the open source community
• Demonstrate sound engineering design and testing principles in your code
• Follow agile software development practices
• Coach and develop colleagues where you have insights
• Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
• Travel globally up to 10% of time for internal and external events

Requirements

• Passionate Python developer
• Organized and able to deliver timely, high quality software
• Understand the importance of reliable operations in an agile world
• Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies
• Practical knowledge of Linux and networking
• Lifelong learner

Nice to Have

• University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field
• Golang programming skills
