Software Engineer

About This Role

Support the design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions for a high-impact client by joining an established engineering team and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Develop and maintain modern web applications using a Python-based backend and Vue.js frontend (or similar frameworks)
• Design, build, and enhance scalable services deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Participate in system- and component-level design discussions and technical decision-making
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices
• Support production workloads, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure system reliability
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders, surfacing risks and trade-offs early

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
• Strong experience with modern web application development
• Proficiency in Python for backend development
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred; React or Angular acceptable)
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture
• Ability to ramp up quickly on complex systems and unfamiliar codebases
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or similar role

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Prior experience supporting production systems
