This role will design and deliver open source software operations code using Python and Golang, working across the entire Linux stack to revolutionize open source application and infrastructure operations. The Solutions Engineering team collaborates closely with the managed infrastructure operations team to improve infra-as-code products.
Responsibilities
- Work in Python and Golang to design and deliver open source software operations code
- Work with the entire Linux stack, from kernel, networking, storage, to applications
- Shape high quality open source monitoring and alerting infrastructure
- Rethink open source operations for our customers and open source community
- Demonstrate sound engineering design and testing principles in your code
- Follow agile software development practices
- Coach and develop colleagues where insights are available
- Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with company values
- Global travel up to 10% of time for internal and external events
Requirements
- Passionate Python developer
- Organized and able to deliver timely, high quality software
- Understanding of reliable operations in an agile world
- Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts & technologies
- Practical knowledge of Linux and networking
- Lifelong learner
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field (preferred)
