Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs for Speechify's platform, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, and text-to-speech services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience, contributing to a product that helps millions overcome reading barriers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking
- Ensure APIs meet business and scalability requirements
- Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
- Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience
Requirements
- Proven experience in backend development
- TS/Node proficiency
- Direct experience with GCP
- Efficiency in ideation and implementation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in backend development
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes
