Software Engineer IV

About This Role

This Software Engineer IV role involves complex operational data flows, including storage, transport, management, security, and compliance. The role also requires exploratory data analysis to clean, enrich, and convert raw data, as well as optimizing existing data flow processing and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Create, sustain, and troubleshoot complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management
• Work with mission customers to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform, and convert raw data into required formats
• Devise methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliability

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE
• OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE
• OR Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE
• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python
• Experience designing and implementing Java solutions
• Experience with Apache NiFi system administration
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE
• 10+ years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity with a Master's degree, or 12+ years with a Bachelor's, or 14+ years with no degree specified.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Corporate data flow processes and tools
• Experience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Perl scripts and applications
