Software Engineer II

About This Role

This Software Engineer II role involves defining, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications to support Patterson's software requirements. It also includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, developers and other team members in the conceptualization and development of new or existing software applications
• Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis
• Help research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users and stakeholders
• Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as directed
• Execute software testing on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors and general debugging
• Participate in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
• Perform program turnover to production support and customers upon completion of development, testing, and documentation
• Provide higher level support for incoming incident tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues
• Partner with other engineers in resolving problems with software products or company software systems

Requirements

• 3 years programming experience
• Experience with MS.NET, C#, and Object-Oriented Programming

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or Business or equivalent education and/or experience
• 3+ years programming experience

Nice to Have

• Experience using source code management system GIT and SVN
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or browser automation tools
• Experience integrating with veterinary, dental, or medical PiMS systems
• Reverse engineering experience (Win32 APIs, packet inspection, system hooks)
