Site Administrator - Spring Break Learning Academy

About This Role

Supervise the daily operations of the Spring Break Learning Academy at Winridge Elementary School, ensuring quality instruction, staff and student safety, and compliance with all policies and procedures. This role involves communicating behavior expectations, administering discipline, and overseeing site opening/closing for the specific Spring school period.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day to day operations of the Spring school site
• Ensure quality instruction and safety of staff and students
• Communicate behavior expectations and consequences to staff, students and parents
• Administer discipline to correct disruptive behavior
• Oversee the opening and closing of Spring school sites
• Ensure compliance with all state, district, and Spring school policies and procedures
• Ensure all state and district documents are submitted on time

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a closely related field
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching or training experience, or 8 years of equivalent experience
• Active SCS Assistant Principal in good standing
• Commitment for the entire period of Spring school
• Attendance at Spring School graduation
• Attendance at ALL preparatory planning sessions
• Attendance at periodic administrative meetings
• Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment contract for Spring school setup and preparation
• Availability for Spring school closeout operations after the new academic year contract has started

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a closely related field
• Minimum of four (4) years of teaching or training experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or paid, exempt level directly relevant experience for a total of eight (8) years.
