About This Role

Join the Maritime Division's Alteration Installation Teams to support C4ISR system installations on ships and submarines. This role involves working at shipyards, ensuring top-tier technical support and installations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team supporting cabling, equipment, and device installations
  • Read and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets
  • Operate commonly used installation hand tools and test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, VSWR meters, Bit-Error Rate Test Sets, and Category 5e/6 cable testers
  • Attach fiber optic connectors, RJ-45 connectors, and DB type connectors with superior speed and accuracy
  • Dress cable installations to present a well-organized and professional appearance
  • Perform complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly
  • Lead and demonstrate superior workmanship in a mission-critical environment
  • Work overtime upon management request
  • Maintain and safeguard company equipment, tools, and inventory
  • Organize and schedule jobs to an on-time completion

Requirements

  • Completion of formal two-year or more contractor apprenticeship program in a related field that includes at least six months of formal classroom training that addresses electrical circuit theory, electromagnetic radiation, and other disciplines related to C4ISR installations OR
  • Completion of four (4) years of U.S. military service with one of the following technical ratings: Electronic Technician, Interior Communications (IC), Information System Technician, Radioman or Data System Technician
  • 4-6 Years of experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience on U.S. Navy C4ISR installations
  • Ability to read and understand U.S. Navy ship installation drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and cable running sheets
  • Skill in the operation of all commonly used installation hand tools and test equipment
  • Superior skills in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly
  • Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period
  • Ability to work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb ladders
  • Possess good vision, ability to see in color, and hear and communicate in English
  • Active Secret Clearance or eligibility for clearance
  • Ability to pass a background investigation

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associates Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or Information Technology preferred.
  • 4-6 Years of experience, with at least two years on U.S. Navy C4ISR installations.
