This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing complex mechanical systems in critical facilities such as data centers and hospitals. The Mechanical Critical Facility Technician will ensure the optimal operation of HVAC and other essential mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units
- Install, maintain, and repair minor plumbing systems, including pumps, valves, and piping
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment using experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Monitor and control environmental systems using BMS platforms like Niagara Tridium, Siemens, or Johnson Controls
- Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and repairs
- Track and document work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities using CMMS software
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or greater
- 6+ years' work experience
- 3+ years of direct experience in a critical facility operation (data center or hospital)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, or significant other mechanical experiences (for Mechanical applicants)
- Must possess an EPA 608 Certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or greater
- 6+ years' work experience including 3+ years of direct experience in a critical facility operation (data center or hospital)
