Critical Facility Technician 2

About This Role

Ensure critical facility equipment in a data center operates at peak efficiency by performing planned maintenance, corrective work, and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency
• Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues
• Serve as an expert technical resource, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors
• Be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and support operated data centers
• Meet all requirements of CET1 and ensure data center equipment maintains better than 99.999% uptime
• Utilize safe working practices, including lockout/tagout, SDS, and good housekeeping methods
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, and OEM operating instructions
• Use hand tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Assist CET3/4 technicians with classified procedures and transfer knowledge to train other technicians
• Conduct daily walk-throughs, documenting parameters like power availability, temperature, humidity, and alarm status

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum 6+ years of experience with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• U.S. Citizenship
• Valid passport for site access

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment

Nice to Have

• Journeyman Electrician License
• Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent
