The Shipper is responsible for accurately counting, verifying, and loading bakery products for shipment, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. This role involves physical tasks in a fast-paced environment and requires communication with management regarding shipment issues.
Responsibilities
- Count, verify, and load bakery products for outgoing and incoming shipments
- Break down and stack trays of bread, muffins, and bagels for efficient loading
- Complete daily paperwork, including adjustments, overages, and shortages
- Follow all food safety, quality, and company standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Communicate shipment issues or quality concerns to management
Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and stack up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull product stacks
- Ability to stand, climb, twist, and perform physical tasks for long periods
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Nice to Have
- DOT certification if operating a route truck
