The Business/Data Analyst will join the Data Office to support data product instrumentation, performing business and data requirements analysis and providing support for data collection, mapping, aggregation, and balancing functions. This role involves producing detailed documentation such as business process flows and functional specifications, and conducting quality assurance to ensure data quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform business and data requirements analysis for Data Products
- Provide support and analysis of data collection, mapping, aggregation, and balancing functions
- Produce detailed supporting documentation, including business and data process flows and functional/data requirements specifications
- Provide business and data analysis to support, compile, and report key information for business objectives
- Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation
- Perform quality assurance tests and reviews key information to ensure data quality aspects
- Drive resolution of business issues discovered during the testing process
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Function as a liaison between business and technical teams in analyzing and assessing solutions
- Support the development of system, integration, and UAT test scripts and other test documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of business and data requirements development experience
- Established Business and Data Requirements experience in Data Warehouse/Data Management ecosystem
- Solid SQL experience, including relational database experience
- Ability to gather requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with end users, Data and Business Analysts and all levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate business knowledge
- Provide proper technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer background related degrees, Business, or any other related field
- Five plus (5+) years of business and data requirements development experience, with established Business and Data Requirements experience in Data Warehouse/Data Management ecosystem
