Service Manager - Industrial Cranes

About This Role

This role involves directing and supervising the staff and day-to-day operations of an industrial crane service branch, focusing on delivering quality customer service and achieving sales goals. The Service Manager will be responsible for sales, operations, and team leadership within the branch.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of technicians
• Oversee schedules and assignments for the branch staff
• Oversee branch service sales and profitability
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee discipline/termination as needed
• Sell profitable crane services for inspections, maintenance, installation, repairs, modifications, and upgrades
• Oversee servicing of equipment to ensure production, performance, and quality standards are met
• Review jobs to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals are met
• Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and compliance with federal and state regulations
• Develop operating budget and manage P&L for the branch in collaboration with the Regional Manager
• Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective clients

Requirements

• 5 years management experience in a service industry
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Qualifications

• 5 years management experience in a service industry
