Crane Service Technician Level 1 or 2

About This Role

Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes for a leading overhead crane solutions provider. This role involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, consulting with customers, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
• Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
• Generate sales leads during service calls
• Accurately and neatly document work performed on service reports
• Perform new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory
• Ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems
• Minimum 2 years hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience
• Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Must pass drug-screen and background check
• Strong communication skills
• Proven commitment to safety
• Comfort with working at heights

Qualifications

• A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred
• Minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance

Nice to Have

• Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming
• Crane maintenance experience
