Senior Security Monitor

About This Role

Assist with the day-to-day operations of a community corrections facility, ensuring safety, security, and sanitation for staff, visitors, and residents. This role involves supervising and mentoring monitoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily facility operations to maintain compliance with contractual requirements, laws, and regulations, ensuring a safe environment.
• Supervise monitoring staff on duty, including training new employees, resolving disputes, and monitoring work assignments.
• Complete and review incident reports and issue extra duty notices to residents when appropriate.
• Conduct investigations and participate in hearings for rule violations.
• Participate in inspections and audits to ensure contractual requirements and standards are met.
• Participate in quality control plan reviews and develop action plans for implementation.
• Communicate effectively and coherently with staff, visitors, and residents, providing information, mediating disputes, and advising on rights and processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent
• One year of experience in a security or corrections field
• Two years of supervisory experience in the security or corrections field
• California Adult Corrections Officer Core Course certification
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques
• Availability to work any hours, any shift
• Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications
• A valid driver's license
• Minimum age of 18 years

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in the security or corrections field, and 1+ year of experience in a security or corrections field.
