About This Role

The Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst will conduct complex analysis of financial and operational key performance indicators for UPMC's Revenue Cycle Physician Enhancement. This role involves delivering financial and operational reporting projects, auditing revenue cycle operations, and providing support to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reporting team request intake process, prioritizing projects and providing status feedback
  • Participate in meetings with senior Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Clinical Administration leadership to present key metrics and develop action plans
  • Promote collaborative, customer-focused service delivery with internal and external teams
  • Ensure all financial/operational reporting processes follow data integrity and controllership protocols, including Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Create executive-level presentation material summarizing key projects, issues, and reporting metrics
  • Develop and implement new self-service and visualization tools for enhanced reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle operational teams to review business processes and identify opportunities for improved outcomes
  • Facilitate audits of revenue cycle operations to ensure compliance of published revenue cycle protocols
  • Lead or support efforts to prepare complex financial/operational reporting metrics, validating data quality and accuracy, and ensuring timely report publication
  • Stay current with changing payer and market drivers affecting Revenue Cycle and proactively evaluate impact on reporting needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field (or High School Diploma/GED + 5 years experience)
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application proficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field, OR High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience, or five years with a High School Diploma/GED

Nice to Have

  • PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency
