Senior Revenue Accountant

About This Role

This hybrid Senior Revenue Accountant role supports revenue accounting and month-end close activities, ensuring ASC 606 compliance while managing contract reviews, revenue analysis, and systems support for a client in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and quarter-end revenue close activities, including allocations, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Ensure revenue recognition compliance under ASC 606 through detailed analysis and technical accounting research under US GAAP and IFRS
• Review customer contracts pre-execution, partner cross-functionally on deal structuring, and document revenue conclusions
• Support RevPro administration and reporting while partnering with external auditors on revenue matters and SOX controls
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and support ad hoc analyses and special projects

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Advanced Excel proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience

Nice to Have

• Public accounting or SOX-regulated environment experience
• RevPro experience
• Familiarity with Workday, Salesforce, and SQL or other data analysis tools
