About This Role

This role involves building strong relationships with Value-Added Reseller (VAR) partners, serving as a strategic marketing advisor, and collaborating to develop insight-driven marketing plans. The goal is to empower partners to effectively market, sell, and grow with Sage's AI-powered accounting and ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with US VAR partners to plan and execute co-marketing campaigns that drive demand and generate sales qualified opportunities (SQOs)
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned VAR partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with Sage’s strategic goals
  • Collaborate with Partner Sales, Product Marketing, and internal Performance Marketing teams to support partner marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Provide strategic and consultative guidance to partners on marketing best practices, campaign execution, and performance optimization
  • Track, measure, and report on partner campaign performance and planned activities, including insights into what’s working well and where improvements are needed
  • Manage partner MDF (Market Development Funds) and ensure effective utilization and ROI
  • Support partner enablement through marketing content, tools, and training
  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with partners and Sage Partner Sales Leadership to assess marketing impact and identify growth opportunities
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor activities to inform partner strategies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a channel/partner marketing manager for software reseller partners OR demand generation marketing manager
  • Experience marketing B2B SaaS / software solutions
  • Demand marketing expertise including lead flow, campaign strategies and tactics
  • Experience tracking integrated campaign and funnel performance - from MQL through SQL - and using analysis to identify gaps, measure results, and optimize co-marketing programs
  • Ability to build trusted, consultative partner relationships and influence adoption of marketing programs to deliver measurable results
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a bias for action
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a channel/partner marketing manager for software reseller partners OR demand generation marketing manager.
