Senior Network Engineer

About This Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Wireless systems. Provide Level-3 support, manage network devices, and ensure network availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Routing, Switching, Firewalls, and Wireless systems
• Implement and administer network devices (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls)
• Perform network maintenance and device upgrades including patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
• Configure and troubleshoot WAN optimizers
• Monitor performance and ensure device availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Provide on-call support during weekdays and weekends
• Manage IP addresses and resolve conflicts
• Support DR tests/failovers from a WAN perspective
• Provide network engineering support and training to other team members

Requirements

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols
• Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies
• Hands-on experience in Data Centre switching, routing, and overlay technologies
• Excellent exposure to current Leaf>Spine>Leaf architectures, validated designs, and methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of dynamic routing protocols Eigrp, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP
• Excellent exposure to Nexus 2/3/5/7/9K platforms
• Excellent exposure to DNS, DHCP & IPAM
• Strong experience in managing & troubleshooting Nexus/Cisco switches with FEX, VPC, VXLAN, VDC's etc.
• Experience with Routers, switches, HSRP, VRRP & GLBP redundancy protocols, Firewalls
• Strong troubleshooting skills for network & security related issues
• Experience in monitoring tools like Solar Winds, thousand eye
• Experience in Infoblox
• Experience in Load Balancers like F5(LTM, GTM)

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-8 years of experience in BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP protocols. Extensive knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge on Cisco ACI and implementation
• Ability to manage devices through Cisco Prime Infrastructure
