Senior Manager - Risk Management

About This Role

This Senior Manager position is a critical hands-on leadership role in the US Commercial Capacity team responsible for Commercial Limits Underwriting strategies and capabilities. The incumbent will play an influential role working closely with partners in Product, Sales, RPDS & GSN to create and drive strategies to grow the portfolio while providing world-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and RPDS to build best in class next generation underwriting capabilities
• Responsible for capacity/limit management for the US GCS portfolios, including analytics, strategy, and capabilities for new and existing accounts
• Work with Product, Servicing, and Sales teams to design and implement strategic initiatives for prudent and profitable growth and volatility control
• Drive deep-dive analytics and partner with Decision Science to enhance economic logic for core risk management decisions

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in relevant credit risk management expertise
• Strategic thinking, with a focus on innovation
• Deep knowledge of commercial business and AXP risk capabilities
• Strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to solving business problems
• Intellectual curiosity, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and ability to re-engineer processes
• Ability to build strong relationships, operate within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with internal CFR and commercial executive leadership team/partners
• Strong knowledge on financial statement and key financial ratios

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in relevant credit risk management expertise
