About This Role

As a Senior Manager of Digital Product Development, you will play a key role in building a best-in-class digital ecosystem that transforms how our commercial customers engage with American Express. You’ll help design and deliver intuitive digital experiences that give businesses actionable spend insights, enhance core digital capabilities across key customer journeys. Your role will translate strategy into execution - simplifying complexity, driving delivery across cross-functional teams, and delivering digital capabilities that scale across products and personas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of digital capabilities that enhance visibility, control, and engagement for Middle Market customers - enabling seamless insights, communication, and program management experiences that bring the Nova vision to life
  • Translate strategic goals into a clear roadmap balancing near-term delivery and long-term scalability
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, User Research, Product Strategy and partner teams to align priorities and accelerate execution
  • Drive discovery and MVP definition, ensuring product releases deliver meaningful customer and business value
  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve digital efficiency, consistency, and usability across experiences
  • Leverage data and user feedback to enhance adoption, optimize usability, and refine digital capabilities
  • Develop solutions that integrate seamlessly across systems, ensuring cohesive and scalable experiences
  • Communicate product strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and a culture of innovation within and across teams
  • Use data-driven insights to monitor product performance and iteratively refine product features to improve user experience and drive revenue growth
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks or risks, ensuring smooth delivery of product features and adapting quickly to changing priorities or feedback

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in product development, platform development, or related roles within financial services or technology
  • Proven track record in leading large product initiatives from concept to execution, particularly for digital experiences
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and drive alignment on priorities and execution
  • Experience defining and delivering product roadmaps, managing multiple priorities while adapting to evolving business needs
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and research to guide decision-making
  • Proficiency in documenting business solutions to ensure a clear understanding of platform capabilities and their role in product development
  • Understanding of tech and product development processes
  • Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product development frameworks
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in product development, platform development, or related roles within financial services or technology. Proven track record in leading large product initiatives from concept to execution, particularly for digital experiences.
