Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

About This Role

Lead SEC and GAAP reporting, preparing 10-Q/10-K filings, earnings releases, and regulatory financials. Collaborate with Investor Relations, Treasury, and FP&A while supporting audits, month-end close, and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K), earnings releases, and investor materials in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist with financial statements for regulated utilities and employee benefit plans in accordance with DOL and industry regulations
• Coordinate with auditors, support audit requests, and maintain compliance with internal control procedures
• Prepare elimination entries, reconcile balance sheets, and ensure accuracy across the monthly close cycle
• Contribute to process improvements, update policy documentation, and assist in training junior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or industry, with preferred exposure to SEC reporting
