Senior Financial Analyst

About This Role

This Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the FSS FP&A team, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and analytics for OpEx, especially SG&A and workforce planning for assigned business units. The role involves developing strong relationships with business leaders to provide financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned business unit operating expenses and headcount numbers
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business unit and finance leadership
• Understand assigned business unit operations to become a go-to resource for headcount and SG&A insights
• Develop and maintain various financial models to support business unit decision-making related to headcount and SG&A
• Prepare periodic close files/packages
• Manage workforce planning, including headcount and employee cost budgeting
• Solicit and consolidate new information from various sources to improve forecast accuracy
• Proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities
• Manage annual planning processes, including target communication, budget creation, and data loading/reconciliation
• Ensure assigned business unit's master data, organizational changes, and reporting dimensions are updated and current
• Troubleshoot system and process issues, prioritize ad hoc requests, and compile data efficiently
• Leverage data and analytics tools to phase out legacy Excel-based files and reports
• Assist with other ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests

Requirements

• 4+ years of FP&A experience
• Clear and strong understanding of financial statements and relevant accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query, Power Pivot)
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 4+ years of FP&A experience with a clear understanding of financial statements and relevant accounting principles

Nice to Have

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling
• Intermediate-level Power BI skills
• SQL experience
• Experience working with FP&A systems (JDE, Hyperion, Workforce Planning, SmartView, Oracle EPM)
• Experience with generating management reports and SG&A budgeting/forecasting
