About This Role

Provide eDiscovery technical expertise to support civil and criminal litigation, ensuring efficient identification, preservation, collection, processing, and production of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). Serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery applications and processes, guiding litigation teams and managing data workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, preserve, collect, process, and produce ESI in support of civil and criminal litigation, FOIA, and Congressional requests.
  • Provide expertise specifically in criminal discovery support for ESI.
  • Serve as the expert technical user of electronic discovery applications including Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, Legal Hold Management Tool (LHMT), and Veritas eDiscovery Platform.
  • Collaborate with litigation teams to develop discovery plans, including search parameters.
  • Use eDiscovery software to collect data from FBI IT systems (MS-Exchange, shared drives, desktops, messages) per discovery plans.
  • Analyze search/collection results for data gaps.
  • Administer data inputs into an electronic discovery review platform (eDP), including case creation, data addition, user access management, data de-duplication, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate eDiscovery collection results with FBI units for review/redaction/release.
  • Adhere to policies and technical procedures for eDiscovery software use and provide training and technical assistance to agency attorneys and paralegals.
  • Advise on FBI's process for identifying, preserving, collecting, analyzing, and organizing ESI.
  • Provide ad hoc support to end-users of the eDiscovery review platform repository.
  • Document eDiscovery plans and procedures for each individual case.
  • Facilitate legal hold implementation, amendment, and lift requests in LHMT.
  • Provide eDiscovery collections on criminal cases.

Requirements

  • 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience on major lit support projects
  • 2 years in Relativity, beyond document review coding
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile work environment
  • Experience and familiarity with eDiscovery Services covering all realms of the EDRM (File to Trial)
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (active clearance preferred)

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience (JD highly preferred)
  • 5 years of eDiscovery/litigation support experience with a focus on client solutions and 3 years of progressively responsible experience on major lit support projects. 2 years experience with Relativity beyond document review coding.
