The Senior Data Specialist II will provide assistance in the EDRM workflow for a large Federal agency, focusing on litigation discovery processes. This role involves file manipulation, data loading and conversion, quality checks, and database management for eDiscovery.
Responsibilities
- Perform file manipulation, loading, conversion services, database indexing, and quality checks of loads and exports.
- Develop, evaluate, and modify methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
- Ensure incoming productions comply with ESI specifications and provide detailed notice of deficiencies to the Litigation Support Manager.
- Support client attorneys, investigators, and paralegals by tracking and processing incoming documents and data, creating and managing document review databases, and producing documents.
- Manage documents and data using document review tools, including physical documents, ESI, forensic images, and various file types.
- Coordinate with the client’s Technology Service Center regarding outsourced litigation support projects.
- Work with the Litigation Support Specialist in modifying and manipulating files for use with COTS products and litigation support applications.
Requirements
- Knowledge of litigation discovery process and Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.
- Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform.
- Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferred-preferably in computer science or related field
- At least two years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles, including electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling, quality assurance, and database loads/retrieval.
Nice to Have
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field.
- Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications.
- Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote.
