This role will provide full-time IT legal support services to a large federal agency, focusing on eDiscovery applications. The position involves independently developing, modifying, and maintaining complex programs to support litigation environment applications and associated systems.
Responsibilities
- Independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs to support litigation environment applications, management systems, and analytical systems
- Translate program requirements into program code
- Test, debug, and refine programs to process data in accordance with written specifications
- Revise programs to increase efficiency and reduce operating time
- Develop data entry screens and other user interfaces
- Implement standardized reports and create specialized and ad hoc reports as required
Requirements
- United States Citizen
- Substantial, hands-on programming experience in the systems environment being used
- At least two years of directly applicable experience
- At least three years of overall programming experience
- Experience with large-scale database management systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred - preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines
- At least three years of overall programming experience, including experience with large-scale database management systems, and at least two years of directly applicable experience with hands-on programming in the systems environment being used
Nice to Have
- Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server-based databases and applications
- Supervisory or team leader experience
- Experience in automated litigation support
